10 Craft Ideas To Do With Trippy Coloring Pages

Here are 10 affordable, fun, and creative craft ideas you can do with your completed coloring page!

10. Wrapping Paper

My trippy coloring pages are nonetheless quite beautiful, especially when colored in, and they would make gorgeous wrapping paper for that small gift or box.

Simply color in the page – and you can print out multiple pages and tape them together, too! – and place your item in the middle of the sheet, with the colored side facing down.

Wrap it up as you see fit, and you have a gift wrapped up in very special and personalized paper.

9. Gift Bags Or Decorations

If gift bags are more your speed, you can turn my coloring pages into just that or use them as decoration for an existing gift bag.

To create a gift bag on your own, you can follow these instructions.

Now, because a typical 8.5” by 11” piece of paper will create quite a small gift bag, you can also print out multiples of a specific coloring page and tape them together.

In order to make a decoration for an existing gift bag, you should choose a plain bag, which you can find at any dollar store.

Color in the trippy page of your choice, and then using rubber cement or some other glue, affix the page to the bag, trimming as needed.

If you’re feeling extra ambitious, you can cover both the back and the front!

8. Wall Art

If your walls are looking a little bare, or you just want to change it up a bit, why not color in and frame my trippy coloring pages?

You can get some nice markers at a craft store or on Amazon and spend an afternoon picking out which illustrations you want and coloring them in.

Then you can find cheap frames at the dollar store (or even garage sales or estate sales!), put in the pages you’ve colored and hang them up on the walls, which so badly need decorating.

7. Keychains

For a fun craft that you can do with your older children, you will need shrink sheets and keychain O-rings.

Print the illustrations of choice onto the shrink sheets and color them in with markers.

Then you’re going to have to decide what shape keychains you want – squares, rectangles, triangles, or even something that follows the shapes of the illustration.

Cut out your shapes, punch a hole in the top (for threading the O-ring through later), and bake per your shrink sheets’ directions.

Once baked and cooled, you can then affix the keychain hardware. This craft also makes a great gift!

6. Decorative Trays

To spruce up an old tray or add life to a new one, you’re going to use my trippy coloring pages as decoration.

First, you’ll pick which illustration you want to use, then color it in. You might have to cut it down to size, depending on how large the tray you’re using is.

Then you’re going to apply at least a few coats of Mod Podge, using a foam brush, attaching the illustration to the tray.

Let it dry completely, and you’ve got a waterproof tray that you can use to hold beverages or a vase of flowers.

5. Coasters

To make these DIY coasters, you’re going to need tiles – though what those tiles are made of is up to you (wood works, but ceramic is best).

You’re going to color in the illustrations of your choice, and you could make all the tiles out of the same pattern or switch them up and make them out of multiple different ones.

You’ll cut squares out of the illustrations, and they’ll be just a bit larger than the tiles you’re going to cover. Place the squares over the tiles and fold them under.

Take Mod Podge and a foam brush and apply it to the tiles and the illustration squares; you’ll want to do at least a few coats.

And then wait for them to dry! Once they’re all dried, they’ll be waterproof.

4. Phone Cases

To jazz up a boring phone case, trace the outline and the camera hole(s) onto the coloring page of your choice.

Color in the illustration; it’s okay if you go over the lines because you’ll be cutting it out anyway.

Cut out the phone-case-shaped outline and Mod Podge or glue it into the case.

3. Journal Or Book Covers

A simple craft that can be used as a gift – or just kept for yourself – is to use my trippy coloring pages as a journal or book cover.

For journals, you can simply color in the page and glue it to the front cover.

For book covers, you might need to tape a few illustrations together (depending on the size of the book).

You can color in the illustration of your choice, cut out a rectangular section, and reinforce it with cardstock.
