My sh*t. The way he chased after April with no effs given was hot. I liked the part where he clowned everybody at the club. A really good movie w/mad playback value.

I agree. It was a good film and hate the direction Chris Brown's and Columbus Short's career went. So much talent, wasted or should I say not completed at max capacity.

I also remember a lot of people being upset that Chris Brown was barely in the movie despite being heavily used for marketing.
Out of all the dance movies from that era, this is the best one. The dance scenes were brilliantly shot, and have aged well.

Love this movie. When it shows Theta Nu doing one of their first steps together
Kept rewinding that part
Also....Chris Brown was so SEXY. That smile (I just watched the opening battle). Drugs really fcked him up.

Lol.
I first watched the movie when I was a kid.
Stomp The Yard (2007) Trailer #1 | Movieclips Classic Trailers
I even tried to imitate some of the dance moves.
“Walk It Out” DJ vs. Grant | Stomp The Yard
Even though I wasn't a skillful dancer.
That's how you know a movie got you hyped, when you try to imitate some of the scenes.
Hahaha...
Just my personal thoughts and views (08/19/2021).
Peace.

I always think of Drumline when I think of this movie but this movie was better to me.

I liked it so much, I saw it twice in the theater. When DJ’s uncle told him to “get your ungrateful black ass in the goddamn truck” my theater erupted. Can’t say to much about the sequel except it was garbage.

That part always cracks me up. It was so unexpected and harsh.

This made me laugh so hard because it made me think of my best friend from college who didn’t meet her now fiancé until after we graduated. But during college, she said this movie was “false advertisem*nt” because she though she’d “meet someone by now who would take her to his momma’s house to try her fried chicken.”

Yes there is. Don't waste your breath. It was pure trash. Saw it once and barely made it through it that one time.

This was my face the first time I first saw this:
Then I cracked TF up afterwards.

Stomp the Yard and You Got Served are practically the same movie. You Got Served had better dancing and the Stomp the Yard had better acting lol. But they’re very similar
I do live STY though. Seen it twice it theaters when I was a teen
