Rated: 4/4 Aug 8, 2022 Full Review Lincoln | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Deborah Ross The Spectator Its narrative swoop largely takes the legislative detail in its stride, plus the star is Daniel Day-Lewis, which is always a thing. He is not so much an actor, more a shape shifter. Harshit K Great movie. Abraham Lincoln is such an inspiration and this fantacy film on him is really good. I watched it about 5 years ago and it still entertaining. I watch it again with my friends tonight and its still entertaining as it was when i first saw it... Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/06/24 Full Review Gregg W Wish it was more about his entire Presidency then his last 3 month. Still its a good film to watch Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review John T. H (nitpick) he wasn't tall enough... Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/24 Full Review Grant H Dreadfully dull! If you're an insomniac, I recommend this film as a cure. The title is a misnomer as we learn little about Lincoln's life except for this concentrated snapshot in which everyone talks incessantly about not much. Call it "The Thirteenth Amendment". If you're looking to learn about the man, you'll be disappointed. The twee treatment of the Gettysburg Address is typical Spielberg who ought to stick to sci-fi spectaculars and leave insightful biographies to the experts. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Scott S Daniel Day-Lewis's portrayal of Abraham Lincoln is spell binding and Steven Spielberg did an amazing job of bringing the story of the passage of the 13th amendment to life in a way no one else could. If you are at all interested in American History, this is a must see! My wife and I will every few years watch it on or near Lincoln's birthday. Enjoy! P.S. It is a bit long, so you may want to watch it over a few nights. P.P.S. A few of the historical details, have been tweaked to add to the drama of the movie. But generally, it jives pretty well with the facts of history. :) Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
